Cactus Coolers metal print by Marilyn Barton.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description

The Saguaro is a cactus you see all over the Sonoran desert. In Arizona, they are all over. I painted this with a wet-on-wet technique to get that fuzzy feeling of the cactus. Then with a fine brush I added detail. I thought they were pretty "cool". So I called them Cactus Coolers.

Marilyn Barton

Marilyn Barton has recently moved from Arizona to Sun City Shadow Hills, Indio, California. She paints with Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Pencil and Charcoal. Marilyn was art major at UCLA where she concentrated on the many aspects of fine art including, life drawing, illustration, photography, painting, printmaking and art history. In recent years, she studied watercolor from a well-known teacher and artist/publisher in the Palm Springs area. Marilyn has specialized in capturing the beauty of the desert with her unique style and colorations in watercolor, acrylic and pastel. Marilyn also teaches art classes in watercolor and pastel.
