Artist's Description

In a recent tip to the Arboretum, I started noticing the shapes of some of the prickly pear cactus. Many of them have this heart shape because of being partially eaten by the havelina that love them for food. My cactus pictures are a theme in my work. Thanks for viewing.

Marilyn Barton

Marilyn Barton has recently moved from Arizona to Sun City Shadow Hills, Indio, California. She paints with Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Pencil and Charcoal. Marilyn was art major at UCLA where she concentrated on the many aspects of fine art including, life drawing, illustration, photography, painting, printmaking and art history. In recent years, she studied watercolor from a well-known teacher and artist/publisher in the Palm Springs area.
