Artist's Description

This is another in my series created on location in Sedona. It gives the feeling of the area and the incredible red rocks against the very blue sky. The rock towers are a unique form called hoodoos and appear throughout Arizona. This was done on rust colored paper, much the color of the rock.

Marilyn Barton

Marilyn Barton has recently moved from Arizona to Sun City Shadow Hills, Indio, California. She paints with Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Pencil and Charcoal. Marilyn was art major at UCLA where she concentrated on the many aspects of fine art including, life drawing, illustration, photography, painting, printmaking and art history. In recent years, she studied watercolor from a well-known teacher and artist/publisher in the Palm Springs area. Marilyn has specialized in capturing the beauty of the desert with her unique style and colorations in watercolor, acrylic and pastel. Marilyn also teaches art classes in watercolor and pastel.
