The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I painted this from a photograph taken at Montezuma's Castle located near Sedona, AZ. I wanted to capture the rock and the depth of the cavern. This is a part of the National Park system. It's a place to learn about the cliff dwellers, who they were and why they left. As with all my paintings, giclee prints on fine watercolor paper are available.
About Marilyn Barton
Marilyn Barton has recently moved from Arizona to Sun City Shadow Hills, Indio, California. She paints with Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Pencil and Charcoal. Marilyn was art major at UCLA where she concentrated on the many aspects of fine art including, life drawing, illustration, photography, painting, printmaking and art history. In recent years, she studied watercolor from a well-known teacher and artist/publisher in the Palm Springs area.
